Gov. Snyder Set To Appoint Benton Harbor RTAB

Governor Rick Snyder says Benton Harbor no longer needs an emergency manager. Snyder spoke with WSJM News this morning saying a Receivership Transition Advisory Board will be announced later today.

The board will be made up of about four individuals. With their appointment, Benton Harbor officials have essentially regained local control. Snyder says the board's job is to "be an aid" to elected leaders.

Snyder commends Emergency Manager Tony Saunders and the work he's done in the City, especially establishing of a two year budget putting Benton Harbor in the black by $2-million for the next two fiscal-years.
