Legislative Polar Plunge Thursday Afternoon

State lawmakers are girding up for a frigid fundraiser on Thursday. The annual Legislative Polar Plunge is set for 3 p.m. on the lawn of the state Capitol. State Representative Al Pscholka is once again going to take part.

The event raises money for Special Olympics Michigan. Last year, Pscholka raised $18-hundred, and over the last two years lawmakers have pulled in over $50,000.

22 lawmakers and Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley will be jumping into the water. Staff members are also eligible to take the plunge for the first time.
