Congressman Upton To Discuss ACA Wednesday In Berrien Springs

fordable Care Act will be the topic of a meeting Wednesday morning in Berrien Springs. Congressman Fred Upton will be on hand to talk with local leaders and residents about how they have been affected by the overhaul of health insurance. Upton says the ACA has failed to deliver on the promises President Obama made, including the oft-repeated line of "If you like your health care plan, you can keep it." The St. Joseph Republican put forth a bill in the House that passed with bi-partisan support to allow plans that didn't meet the requirements of the ACA to remain available for at least a year, but it has not advanced in the Senate. Wednesday's meeting is set for 11 a.m. at the Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Public Safety Building on Snow Road.
