Baroda-Lake Township PD Traffic Stop Nets Cocaine



Baroda-Lake Township Police made a cocaine bust Monday afternoon. A 39-year old male from Lake Villa, Illinois was stopped while driving I-94 for improper lane usage. K9 Officer John Hopkins ran the drivers license, it ended up being suspended. During a vehicle search, 2.5 oz of cocaine were found. Which has a street value of about $2,500. The driver, who has three prior drug convictions, was lodged in the Berrien County Jail on a number of drug charges. He told Officer Hopkins he was heading for Holland.
