After a U.S. State Department report concluded it would not woren carbon pollution, State Representative Aric Nesbitt is calling on President Obama to allow the Keystone XL pipeline project to proceed. Nesbitt says the pipeline, which would link Canadian oil fields to American refineries, is needed to help push America toward energy independence while putting thousands of American's back to work. The application for pipeline construction has been pending with the State Department since 2008. This most recent study joins a number of others that say building the pipeline will not substantially impact the environment.
