The search for a prison escapee from Ionia has Amish country on edge in Indiana. The LaGrange County Sheriff's Department is warning people in Shipshewana to not open their doors for anyone other than police as they try to find convicted killer Michael Elliot, who espaped a Michigan prison Sunday night. He carjacked a woman, driving her to Elkhart before she was able to escape by locking herself in a gas station bathroom and calling 9-1-1 on a cell phone she had hidden. By the time police arrived, Elliot was gone. The Jeep he had stolen was found in Shipshewana earlier today. Along with searching in Indiana, a nationwide manhunt for Elliot is also underway.
