A Tentative Deal Has Been Reached On A Farm Bill

It's been nearly three years in the making, but a new five-year farm bill has been developed by lawmakers. Senator Debbie Stabenow says the bill will save close to $23-billion for tax payer while strengthening support for agriculture, food, and jobs.



She says there's a new policy regarding crop insurance,



The bill consolidates dozens of Agriculture Department programs and cuts about $8-billion in food stamp assistance. It could be voted on later this week.
