BHHS Senior Wants To Represent Students On School Board

The Benton Harbor school board could soon have a student representative. High School Senior Charles Jennings expressed his interest in joining the board Tuesday night at the board's regular meeting.

City Commissioner Marcus Muhammad, who also works for the district, was supportive of Jennings request. He shared a story about Jennings' excitement when participating in a recent student debate.

The board will review the process on how to allow Jennings to become a student representative, then take it up at a later meeting.
