Police Stumped In Disappearance Of Kalamazoo Doctor

The disappearance of a Western Michigan University medical student continues to baffle police. Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller gave an update on the search for Dr. Teleka Patrick Wednesday morning.

Fuller said there was no sign of any struggle in Patrick's car when it was found along I-94 in Portage, Indiana. He added it appears she left Kalamazoo willingly on December 5 and was headed for a relative's home in Chicago. Fuller said they have no credible tips at this point, and is frustrated by most of the social media chatter being more focused on Dr. Patrick's behavior than on where she could be. Fuller noted Patrick had disappeared in the past.

Fuller was asked if investigators believe she is alive or dead.

The FBI and Indiana State Police are assisting in the case.
