The Stray Dog Bar and Grill is again helping area animals. After a year of rebuilding, because of fire, the New Buffalo restaurant is again raising money for the Michiana Humane Society. The Jack Fund was started in 2010. It has raised about $8,500 for since then. Owners say 2013 was the best year yet. They sold over 250 shirts which helped raise over $3,200 for the shelter. NewsCenter 16 reports the Michiana Humane Society serves nearly 1,400 animals a year, with costs of up to $30,000 a month.
