Larry Schuler Selling Schu's Grill And Bar To Jim Kramer

New ownership is set to take over a downtown St. Joseph landmark restaurant. Larry Schuler is selling his Schu's Place Grill and Bar to O.B. Glad - Michigan owner Jim Kramer, who already owns Tim's Too in the same building, the Woodfire in Dowagiac and Nancy's and Roma's Pizzeria in New Buffalo. Schuler joined WSJM's Pat Moody about the sale.

Schu's opened in 1990. The sale is just waiting on the transfer of the liquor license by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.

Kramer is a recently retired minister, having been involved in churches in the Chicago area and is pleased to be spending more time in Berrien County.

Schuler says he will remain in the area and continue to be involved with Schu's as a consultant for the next year. He will also concentrate on expanding Schu's Hospitality Group LLC. Both he and Kramer say the things that make Schu's Grill and Bar what it is will not change, including the employees.
