Jim Bussler Speaks To WSJM About Congressional Bid

For the third straight election cycle, Congressman Fred Upton is going to be facing an opponent in the primary election. This time it's political newcomer and registered nurse Jim Bussler of Dowagiac. He spoke with WSJM News about why he's getting involved.

He is running with Tea Party support.

Bussler will be using his experience in the healthcare industry as a nurse to speak out against how the Affordable Care Act is hurting healthcare providers and patients both in Southwest Michigan.

Upton was challenged in 2010 and 2012 by former state Representative Jack Hoogendyk of Kalamazoo. Hoogendyk was unable to bring in dollars from outside Tea Party groups like the Club for Growth.
