Comcast To Donate Money To Boys And Girls Club Of Benton Harbor On Monday

The Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor will receive more financial support on Monday, with the latest donation coming from Comcast. The cable and Internet provider will be donating money for the organization's "Power Hour" program, which helps students with homework and teaches them skills including how to build working computers. A statement from Comcast announcing the check presentation does not indicate how much money will be given, and we have attempted to reach them for that detail. The company will also give an update as to how many families are enrolled in its Internet Essentials program in Berrien County and northern Indiana. That initiative offers broadband Internet for around $10 a month to families with at least one student in the National School Lunch Program and gives them the option to buy a computer ready to go online for under $150. Earlier this week, the PGA of America donated $75,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor and First Tee.
