Pscholka Chastises Agema's Anti-Gay Remarks

State Representative Al Pscholka is speaking out to condemn the remarks made by Michigan Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema last week in Berrien County. Agema has caused a national stir saying when he was at American Airlines, the company would spend $400,000 on care before a gay employee or partner covered by their benefits died of AIDS and added the reason gays and lesbians want free healthcare is because the disease kills them between the ages of 38 and 44.

Agema claims his remarks were taken out of context and twisted when reported Saturday by the "Herald-Palladium." The paper has offered a rebuttal by printing a transcript of the comments on its website. Governor Snyder ripped the remarks, with spokeswoman Sara Wurfel telling the "Detroit Free Press" the governor considers Agema's comments "extreme and discriminatory."
