Volunteers will be gathering this morning at the Wahmhoff Christmas Tree Farm near Gobles to load 400 live Christmas Trees into a couple of FedEx trailers. Its their contribution to the Trees for Troops program, which hopes to distribute 140-thousand trees to bases across the U.S. and the world to provide some holiday cheer to soldiers who wont be home for the holidays. One truck will head to a marine base in North Carolina, and the other to a Naval Air Station in New Orleans. The Loading will begin at 10 a.m. at the Wahmhoff nursery off M-40 near Gobles and everyone is invited to help.
