After 26 years at the helm of the Lakeshore High School football program, Denny Dock is stepping down this afternoon. The school will make the official announcement at 2 p.m., and the search for a new coach is already underway. Lakeshore athletic director Greg Younger tells WSJM Sports Director Phil McDonald that Dock unexpectedly came into his office at 2:30 yesterday afternoon and told him he was done after 16 straight playoff appearances, 12 conference championships and falling one win shy of playing for a state title this season. In his career, Dock won 263 games, putting him 15th all-time in the state of Michigan. He coached three years at Hartford and four years at Dowagiac before being hired by Lakeshore.
