The Michigan Attorney General's Office is reportedly investigating Benton Harbor City Commissioner Trenton Bowens and the campaign pushing for a city income tax. ABC 57 is reporting a formal complaint was filed with the Berrien County Elections Committee against Bowens. Sources tell WSJM News that Bowens never filed any campaign finance paperwork with the county during the election cycle. Bowens tells us that he plans to hold a press conference on the matter "soon," but did not elaborate. Attorney General Bill Schuette has not released any information on the probe on his website as yet, and the identity of the person who filed the complaint has not been made public.
