Some Customers Still Without Power In Berrien, Van Buren County

Power is out in parts of Berrien and Van Buren Counties. Erica Putt with Indiana Michigan Power says electricity was lost at 7:20 Thursday morning. The Watervliet area was affected the most. Students at the high school were dismissed early because of it.

Light snow and heavy rain caused branches to snap which landed-on and broke the cross arm. There were close to 2,000 customers in the dark near Watervliet. Most have been restored, including the high school and hospital. According to I&M's website over 100 in northern Berrien County and about 400 in Van Buren County remain without power.
