Greater Bridgman Area Chamber Of Commerce And Groth Alliance Formed

The Bridgman Chamber of Commerce and Bridgman/Lake Township Economic Growth Alliance are merging. The new organization will be known formally as the Greater Bridgman Area Chamber of Commerce and Growth Alliance and commonly referred to as the Chamber Growth Alliance or CGA. The current Economic Growth Alliance was formed in 2006 by the City of Bridgman Lake Township and the Chamber, but discussions have been ongoing for the past year about joining forces. A 15-member Board of Directors will be selected in January at the CGA's first annual meeting, and they will move forward on reviewing the programs and activities for the next year. Chamber president Brett Boyd said in a statement the merger is a "better use of funds and people."
