Pokagon Band Chairman Matt Wesaw Retires

An announcement from the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians says Matt Wesaw has retired from being Chairman and CEO of the Pokagon Gaming Authority. Earlier this month Wesaw accepted a position with the state as Director of the Michigan Department of Civil Rights. He is the first Native American Indian appointed to the position. Succeeding Wesaw is Vice Chairman Bob Moody, he'll serve on an interim bases until a special election can be held to elect a new Chairman. The electiong will take place in January of 2014.
