Partnering with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, both the Michigan State Police Department and Van Buren County Sheriff's Department will participate in National Prescription Drug-Take Back Day. All 29 state police posts in Michigan will serve as drop-off points, along with the Family Fare in Paw Paw and South Haven Wellness & Rehabilitation in South Haven. In its five previous Take Back events, DEA and its partners took in over 2.8 million pounds of prescription drugs. The event is next Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
