Congressman Huizenga Comments On Barrier Removals From DC Monuments

Two weeks after the partial government shutdown resulted in barricades going up at memorials in Washington, DC, some of them are down. Demonstrators removed them from the World War Two Memorial and Lincoln Memorial on Sunday, led by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Congressman Bill Huizenga of Zeeland has been pushing to get all of the memorials reopened and had harsh words for the White House.

Some of the barricades from the Lincoln Memorial were taken to the White House as part of the protest. The shutdown will start its third week on Tuesday.
