A Benton Harbor City Commissioner arrested over the weekend is free on bond. Early Saturday morning Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety responded to a noise complaint at a bar at 999 Pipestone. That's where 37-year old David Shaw was being loud, disorderly and flailing his arms toward a woman sitting inside a vehicle. Officers believed a possible assault was in progress. They made contact with Shaw, he became hostile. When officers attempted to arrest him for Disturbing the Peace, Shaw resisted. He was finally lodged in the Berrien County Jail on one count Disturbing the Peace and one count Resisting a Police Officer. He posted $750 bond and is awaiting arraignment.
