A new campaign called "Save a Life. Give a Lane." is intended to make drivers more aware of Michigan's "move over" law. The law requires drivers to move out of the lane closest to emergency vehicles to protect the lives of officers and first responders. The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning developed the campaign, which state Representative Aric Nesbitt supports. He says "this common-sense practice provides a safe way for vehicles to pass by emergency situations on our roads and highways." By using PSA's the campaign will run on television and radio stations across the state.
