Palisades is back online and Congressman Fred Upton is making sure all ducks are in a row at the plant. After being down for 43-days because of a leak in the bottom of a water storage tank, the Covert plant returned to operation earlier this week. Upton appreciates the hard work Palisades employees have done to fix the problem, saying "we want to know what Entergy's plans are to prevent future problems from occurring." In total, 10-Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspectors performed intense checks of the updates to the storage tank. Upton says he will continue to track progress at Palisades, because "it's vital to all of us living in Southwest Michigan."
