B-17 Bomber Flights Available This Weekend

The World War Two B-17 bomber Sentimental Journey is in Southwest Michigan for the weekend. Tours and flights are available at the Southwest Michigan Regional Airport in Benton Harbor. Crew member Al Wilson talked to WSJM News about the flights.

Listen:

WSJM News and the Herald Palladium were aboard the first flight at the airport Friday afternoon as the B-17 flew low over St. Joseph and Benton Harbor. The flights will be weather-permitting all weekend. After World War Two, the bomber was used to fight forest fires, as an unmanned drone in the 1950s and has been in two movies including the John Belushi comedy "1941."
