An Indian Man Is In Custody For A Royalton Home Invasion

Breaking into a home, fleeing from police and carrying a concealed weapon, those are just some of the charges an Elkhart, Indiana man is facing in Berrien County. 40-year old Donald Cupery was caught breaking into a Royalton Township home Wednesday while a resident was inside. The victim called the cops and gave a description of Cupery. He was later located driving southbound on M-139 near Linco Road. Lt. Donald Goulooze stopped the suspect's vehicle at the BP Gas Station near St. Joseph Valley Parkway. When the Lt. got out of his car, Cupery fled the scene. Officers were able to stop the suspect near the dead end of North Lemon Creek. Cupery is in custody and is believed to be connected to other home invasions in the surrounding area.
