Last Day Of Work In SJ For Walsh

Frank Walsh has been sent off into the sunset of Lake Michigan with a retirement party at City Hall, which preceded his final city commission meeting on Monday. Whirlpool spokesman Jeff Noel said the city manager for the past 17 years in St. Joseph will be missed.

Benton Harbor Mayor James Hightower had high praise for Walsh.

With his retirement, Walsh will collect a pension from the city of St. Joseph but he's not done working. He takes over in the Lansing suburb of Meridian Charter Township as the township manager on Thursday.
