BC Sheriff's Deputy Arrested

After having a blood-alcohol level of .159 at the time of her arrest, a Berrien County Sheriff's Deputy is being placed on administrative leave. Saturday night 28-year old Esther Harden of Benton Harbor was arrested for allegedly hitting another vehicle outside Players Bar and Grille in St. Joseph. She was at almost twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system. The accident happened while pulling out of a parking spot. Harden was arrested for operating while intoxicated and failure to stop at a motor vehicle accident. Sheriff Paul Bailey tell the "Herald-Palladium" Harden's employment status will be decided after she goes to court. No date has been set.
