Congressman Fred Upton is voting to protect U.S. businesses from cyber attacks. Authored by Congressman Mike Rogers, H.R. 624 allows the federal government to share classified cyber threat intelligence with the private sector, while allowing the private sector to voluntarily share cyber threat information with one another and with the federal government. Upton says "when nations like China and Russia steal our research, date and trade secrets, they take good paying American jobs along with them." The legislation passed the house Thursday by a bipartisan vote of 288 to 127, it now awaits consideration in the Senate.
