A pair of dog's in Decatur have something to wag their tail about. Sheriff's Deputies and the Decatur Hamilton Fire Department made a rescue Monday morning of two dogs that were stranded on ice about 50 feet from shore at Lake of the Woods Public Access in Hamilton Township. The fire department used an ice rescue device with a fire fighter on it, they were able to get a hold of the dogs and bring them back to shore without harm. Both dogs appear healthy and were not exposed to the open water for a long period of time. A search for the owners is ongoing.
