Authorities are identifying the man who died Saturday in a burning car on I-94. After notification of the next of kin, 35-year old Richard Rouse of Aurora, Illinois was found dead behind the wheel of a 1996 Buick which had been rolling eastbound near mile marker 21 in Lincoln Township. Deputy Jeremy Haskins of the Berrien County Sheriff's Department was driving west when he saw the flaming car. Haskins turned around at the next available turnaround, by that time the car had crashed into the medium cable barrier. An examination was conducted by the Berrien County Medical Examiner's office on Sunday, however autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
