Fishermen Rescued On Paw Paw Lake

Stay off the ice. That's the advice of the Coloma Township Police and others after they were called to rescue two fishermen who had fallen through the ice on Paw Paw Lake yesterday (Sunday). Several area departments responded to the call that two men were in the water in the channel between Shore Drive and Island Court. One of the officers used what's called a Rescue Disk - a long rope with a weighted disc that can be thrown across thin ice - to haul the men out of the icy water.
