Walsh Gets New Gig

St. Joseph City Manager Frank Walsh has his next gig lined up. He will be retiring from the job here in August to move to Jackson, where he will be taking care of his elderly parents, but isn't ready to quit working. Walsh has been selected as the next Township Manager in Meridian Township according to a weekend report on MLive.com. That township's board voted unanimously last week to offer him the job over Saginaw City Manager Darnell Earley, who would get the nod if Walsh fails a background and reference check. A search firm is currently conducting the hunt for Walsh's successor in St. Joseph, with a timeline of having that person in place this summer.
