A Tip to Niles Police Leads to Drug Bust

A woman and her boyfriend are in jail after police searched a Niles residence finding methamphetamine paraphernalia and pot. The Niles Police Department was tipped off that meth was being used in the presence of a child in the 1800 Block of North 5th Street. During a search of the home meth making materials, two discarded meth labs and small amounts of marijuana were found. 28-year old Melanie Topash and 39-year old Robert Cumbess are from Alabama, Cumbess is wanted in Florida for a probation violation. Bond is set at $7,500 for Topash and $10,000 for Cumbess.
