The "Fast Attack Command" policy is continuing to save lives and time. North Berrien Fire Rescue was dispatched to a structure fire at 6052 Huron Street, in Hagar Township Monday night. Smoke was coming from the rear of the structure. Fire Chief Bob Ruff says faulty wiring in a well pump was the cause.
First responders made a quick attack on the fire and stopped it before it spread to the rest of the house. Damage is estimated at $5,000, though all the contents were saved inside the house. No injuries were reported.
