After attending Amber Alert training in Louisville, Kentucky, Cass County public officials have assembled a team to handle potential emergencies. The Missing Child Response Team meets regularly at the county Emergency Operations Center and has formulated a response plan that incorporates the efforts of public safety personnel.
That's Captain Lyndon Parrish with the County Sheriff's Department. No one agency has all the necessary resources needed to conduct a child abduction investigation quickly, that's why a readied team has been formed to handle a crisis at any time. Parrish says the MCRT makes the county pro active and ready for an emergency, though he hopes the team will never have to be used.
