South Haven is picking a Company to do Some Dredging

Let the dredging begin. The City Council is approving the low bid of $236,653 for dredging the North Side and South Side Municipal Marinas in the City of South Haven. Gro America will dredge eight feet below low water datum. At Monday night's meeting the council also authorized additional funding for a change order to dredge the Turning Basin and a channel for the Friends Goodwill tall ship. Work is expected to begin in April and be completed by early May. After receiving a verbal commitment from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the emergency dredging grant fund will supply just over $436,000 for the projects.
