Whirlpool's chairman and CEO is getting more money. Filings with the federal government show Jeff Fettig's total compensation in 2012 was up 29% from the year before on sharply higher cash bonuses linked to the performance of the Benton Harbor-based appliance maker. Fettig earned $15.9 million last year, up from $12.3 million in 2011. His base salary was considerably lower, though still seven-figures at $1.37 million, up from $1.36 million in 2011. The rest of the compensation came from incentive pay, executive perks, stock awards and an increase in the value of Fettig's pension.
