Dowagiac Man Sentenced In Peeping Case

He says the cameras were there to find illegal drug activity, but the jury didn't buy it, and now 57-year-old James Heidenreich is headed to prison for at least five years. Heidenreich was sentenced Friday in Cass County on charges of child abusive sexual activity and felony firearms. He had camers set up in two bathrooms in his house, and recorded footage of a 17-year-old girl and his girlfriend's daughter in the nude in the bathrooms. His girlfriend found the cameras and recordings in July. Heidenreich maintained his innocence through both the trial and his sentencing.
