A local business owner is asking you to stop letting your old prom dress waste space in the closet, and instead donate it to someone who may need it. Alexa Claire Boutique and Tux Shop of St. Joseph is willing to help you out, Owner Claire Fetters is collecting old dresses to send to victims of Hurricane Sandy. Fetters, a New Jersey native, felt compelled to give back to the state after her friends and family were impacted by the storm.
When you bring in your dress, you'll receive a 20% off coupon to Sanitary Cleaners to clean the dress and 25% off on an in-store purchase for donation. Fetters hopes she is successful with the collection.
The Niles Avenue location is accepting dresses now through March 9th.
