Upton Expects Immigration Reform Bills Soon



The U.S. House and Senate are expected to be taking up bi-partisan immigration reform in the coming months, as it's become one of the few topics both sides have been able to agree on lately. Sixth District Republican Congressman Fred Upton says it's badly needed.

Immigration reform efforts are currently being overshadowed right now by the noise about the coming spending cuts with the sequester, but efforts are underway to get the legislation drafted. Upton believes votes will be held later this spring.
