Single Vehicle Accident Involving a Utility Pole

Driving drunk, crashing your car into a utility pole and then trying to leave the scene can get you put in jail, just ask a Paw Paw women who did just that Tuesday morning. Deputies were called to the 100 Block of Michigan Avenue in Paw Paw, they found the 33-year old Brandi Espinosa and her 34-year old male passenger standing outside the car. Both the driver and passenger were uninjured in the crash. The driver was found to be intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .22. Espinosa was arraigned in the 7th District Court, bond was set at $7,500 with a preliminary hearing scheduled for March 5th.
