The City of St. Joseph is approving the request from the Department of Public Safety to buy two new Ford Explorers. At Monday night's meeting, Public Safety Director Mark Clapp says the department has budgeted $50,000 for the vehicles.
The department was quoted the price through Siemans Ford.
The department just purchased two Explorers last fiscal year, the delay in buying two more was due to the department going through its transition of becoming Public Safety.
