The Michigan House is approving legislation that eliminates the state School of Ostepathic Medicine Advisory Council. Introduced by State Representative Al Pscholka, the approval marks the first time in about 100-years legislation received "tri-partisan" support. The bill was approved unanimously and received support from Rep. John Olumba, an Independent from Detroit. Pscholka says "If bipartisan support is good, "tri-partisan" support has got to be even better."According to MIRS Newsletter, this is the first time since 1881 that a Michigan lawmaker has been an "independent."
