The St. Joseph Downtown Development Authority wants to hear from residents and any other stakeholders about its five-year goals. The DDA will hold two special meetings Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph City Hall, along with its regularly scheduled meeting at 1 p.m. Susan Solon is the city's marketing and communications director says they're having the two extra meeting to accomodate anyone who has an interest in the area.
Among the goals to be discussed will be the Main Street beautification plan; reviewing DDA boundaries; banners; and directional signs to help people find downtown businesses easier. Businesses within the DDA boundaries pay a 1.977-mill property tax to fund those activities.
