It's Cass County Community Policing Scholarship Time Again



Eight scholarships worth $500 each are up for grabs for Cass County students. Sheriff Joseph Underwood says the Cass County Community Policing Scholarship applications are now available. The money for the scholarships comes from an annual golf outing supported by local businesses and citizens. After sixteen years, 148-scholarships have been awarded to area students, for a total of $74,000. Criteria for the scholarship include being a resident of Cass County, must be a high school senior or college freshman and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5. Applications can be picked up at high school guidance office's, they must be turned into the Sheriff's Office by Wednesday, April 10th.
