Local business people are being honored at the Combined Annual Meeting of Cornerstone Alliance and Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce. The meeting was held Wednesday night in the Mendel Center at Lake Michigan College. The companies honored were responsible for creating over 671 new jobs, total investments by job providers in the area exceeded $94-million. United Federal Credit Union was one of more than 30-companies that received an award, President and CEO Gary Easterling talked about the importance of honoring so many companies.

A special recognition went to Jeff Noel of Whirlpool Corporation, during his speech Noel emphasized how Cornerstone is continuing to put the "great" in Michigan's Great Southwest.
