JEB Construction Picked to do Upgrades to the Weko Beach House

Though it bid higher than its competitor, a local construction company is being picked to do some upgrading to the Weko Beach House in Bridgman. On Monday, the city council hired Watervliet based JEB Construction to reside the beach house and replace windows. JEB bid $80,400 while Grand Rapids based Omega Construction bid just $70,700. The "Herald-Palladium" reports Omega would have subcontracted 80-percent of the work and would not warranty window installation, while JEB agreed it will do 80-percent of the work and warranty the windows.
