The American Red Cross is Thanking Whirlpool Corporation

After donating $75,000 to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, the American Red Cross of West Michigan is saying thank you to Whirlpool Corporation. The Red Cross will present a certificate at the Whirlpool Headquarters in Benton Harbor at 4:00 p.m. today. Local volunteers who were deployed to the east coast will also be present to personally thank Whirlpool employees and retirees for their contributions, also the Whirlpool Foundation for matching those donations. More than 1,000 Red Cross workers are still on the ground in New York, overall nearly 17,000 trained workers through the Red Cross, including 328 from West Michigan have mobilized to help people affected by Hurricane Sandy.
